The 2023 Charity Bowling Tournament, "Boots & Bling" is in the books, and it was a huge win for OBAR's Scholarship and Disaster Relief funds held through the Outer Banks Community Foundation. Almost $7,000 was raised for OBAR's charities which surpassed last year's bowling tourney.
Team, "The Wild West", sponsored by Steven Gillis State Farm Insurance & Rocket Mortgage, led by team leader Judy Reynolds took 1st place with a score of 2097. Team, "Dangling Diamonds", led by team leader Dawn Midgette, won the popular spirit award. Team "Rocket Mountain Oysters", led by team leader Steven Gillis was a close 2nd for spirit.
Congratulations to Susie Sullivan for winning the grand pre-raffle prize! The grand prize included a weekend staycation in Nags Head and a $100 gift card to Blue Moon Beach Grill.
Special thanks to the Bowling Committee led by Property Management Chair Carrie Bateman, members who purchased one or more bowling teams, and local businesses for donating the amazing raffle prizes.
