The MLS has been informed that some agents have been including unheated areas such as garages, sheds and porches in the Heated Living area calculation. This practice not only violates the MLS Rules and Regulations, specifically Section 1.2.0, subject to a $500 fine, This also violates the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, specifically Standards of Practice 1-3, 12-8, 12-10 to name a few.
